Femme Fatale
Inspired by the sophisticated Hollywood style of the 1940s, Wallis embraces grown up polished dressing with an emphasis on the structured silhouette.  Tailoring is key, both as item separates and also this season’s essential skirt suit.  The waist remains an area of focus with belted womens jackets and flattering peplum cuts.  Print and pattern reference the era and provide a welcome deviation from the geometric trend with an emphasis on digitalised prints.  Animal print also makes an appearance with leopard print a perennial trend.  Faux fur adds glamour, featuring as a trim to knit cardigans or for the ultimate in chic wear a faux fur capelet to adorn the shoulders.

Soft minimal
A luxurious colour palette of frosted neutrals teamed with charcoal and pearl grey are interpreted into soft structured separates and gently cocooning knits.  Fabrics are brushed; suede is prominent and knits are textured to create a collection oozing with lady like elegance. Inspiration comes from the early eighties and re-interpreting the silhouette for the contemporary wardrobe with strong shoulders, cape shapes and exaggerated volume through soft tailored separates. Trims reflect the contemporary minimalist feel with bold buckle fastenings and oversized cuff and neck details.

Acid Drop
This collection makes a bold and graphic print statement in a colour palette of black, white and taupe with a shot of citrus lime.  Dogtooth and graphic colour blocking form the basis of the range but are softer when worn together.  The emphasis is on tailoring, with peg leg trousers and sculptured collars adding volume.  The strong shoulder remains important with the ‘must have’ item being the oversized dogtooth coat, wear with a neon lime blouse to update any wardrobe.  Completing the look and adding texture are strong stud details on accessories.

Byzantine
A modern take on the folkloric trend, which teamed with dark denim and easy knitwear as outerwear, offers the Wallis customer a strong print story for winter weekend dressing.  Pattern is inspired by vintage tapestries and Byzantine mosaics while rich embroideries add depth to the collection.  Embellished necklines and borders add a touch of vintage glamour and create excitement in daywear.  Team a cossack blouse with a skinny jean or the slim leg leather trousers and cape, the ‘must have’ of this season.

The cost of a holiday abroad really does add up. Not only is there the initial price of the hotel and flights but you also need to consider the cost of new clothes, spending money, travel insurance, airport parking and toiletries. It’s no wonder the number of holidays abroad have dropped.

To find a bargain break holiday makers need to be savvier when searching for deals. Choosing an all inclusive holiday it a good way to cut costs as is paying extra attention to exchange rates and perhaps choosing a destination outside the Euro zone.

Many people are also choosing to stay in the UK for their annual holiday and although we may not have the climate of the Mediterranean the UK is full of sights and attractions from the busy streets of London to the beautiful beaches of Cornwall. You also don’t need to worry about flight costs and airport parking, just the cost to fill your car with petrol and you’re on your way. Travel insurance is also cheaper for destinations in the UK and you could save a fortune on toiletries as you probably won’t need to buy as much sun tan lotion!
